The City of Saskatoon is preparing the request for proposal for the design of a new bridge to replace the Traffic Bridge.
TRAFFIC BRIDGE REPLACEMENT OPEN HOUSE
The public is invited to a come-and-go open house where background information regarding the replacement of the Traffic Bridge, and the proposed concepts and options related to the new bridge, will be provided. Civic staff and the project consultant will be available to provide information, answer questions, and gather comments.
Information will be presented on the structural members that make up the trusses, roadway alignment on the Nutana side of the bridge, and pedestrian linkages between the walkways on the new bridge and the adjacent pathways of River Landing and Rotary Park.
Hundreds of residents have attended previous Traffic Bridge Open Houses, and/or have shared their views online. The public will be able to provide their comments on an online Traffic Bridge Replacement Forum starting at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, and continuing until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31. For more information, visit the City of Saskatoon website and look under “T” for Traffic Bridge Replacement, or go to the Saskatoon Traffic Bridge online forum to leave your comments.
