A 44-year-old man is facing charges of attempted murder after allegedly assaulting another man in Qualicum Beach, B.C. Friday.
Robert Gordon Davidson of Qualicum Beach has been charged with Attempted Murder, Assault Causing Bodily harm, and Breach of Recognizance.
Davidson, who is known to police, is being held in custody and will be in court on March 25.
Mounties said a 66-year-old man was seriously injured in the assault at around 1 p.m. at a home in a rural area.
The man was flown by air ambulance to a Victoria hospital in serious condition.
Just before 4 p.m., Port Alberni RCMP located the Davidson’s vehicle and were able to track him down shortly after.
