UPDATE: Four people injured in Trans-Canada Highway crash

CALGARY – Four people were rushed to hospital on Thursday after a six-car collision on the Trans-Canada Highway.

The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. near the Mt. Norquay overpass.

EMS say three victims were initially taken to hospital in Banff and one to Canmore. Two of those victims were eventually transported to Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary. One person was transported in critical condition while the other was transported in serious but stable condition.

Emergency crews have closed the westbound lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway at the Minnewanka turnoff due to the crash.
