Watch: Proposed changes to BC Parks Act worry environmentalists

There are concerns being raised over proposed changes to the BC Parks Act and what they might mean for park spaces in our province.

Under the new legislation, companies planning to build pipelines or transmission lines could be given permits to do research in BC parks.

That’s one reason environmental groups are calling on the province to scrap the proposed amendments.

But, B.C.’s environment minister says companies would only be granted park permits if their activities are low-impact.
