Famous for serving up pannekoek, our Saturday chefs from De Dutch are giving us a different taste from their menu. Using Nutella as their key ingredient, Joey Biamonte and Mike Prince will whip up a Nutella Walnut Tostie and Nutella & Banana Stuffed French Toast. The pair will also tell us more about the chain’s Pannekoek Tuesday fundraiser, which is coming up on March 4th.

For more than 25 years, singer-songwriter Charlotte Diamond has been performing for children around the world. In our final hour, she joins us in studio to tell  us about her latest projects, including a new book based on her hit song ‘Slippery Fish’. Charlotte will also perform two songs (in both English and French) live. If you want to see her in person, she is appearing this weekend at Festival du Bois in Coquitlam’s Mackin Park.

Pruning bushes and trees is essential to keeping them healthy and vibrant. GardenWorks experts Scott Pearce and Leanne Johnson show us the tools you’ll need to take care of the job, whether it’s a small shrub or a tree. They also have some advice on how much to take off and the best time to do it.

The 86th Annual Academy Awards air live on Sunday night. Ellen Degeneres returns to host the show for the second time. At 7:40am, we’ll chat with film critic Dana Gee about what’s changed and what’s stayed the same since Ellen’s 2007 Oscar appearance. We’ll also take a look at the key award categories, breaking down the likely winners and tight races.

Chef Taryn Wa has been a personal chef to several celebrities, now the 31 year old is back in her hometown of Vancouver running Savoury Chef Foods. Inspired by the Best Picture nominees, Wa has put together a decadent Oscar party menu for us. Tipping her chef’s hat to The Wolf of Wall Street, she is making Mini Steak Sandwiches along with some additional dishes that pay tribute to several of the other films in the category.
