The Alberta Teaches Association says a new law that requires parental consent before children under 16 can change their name or pronoun at school, threatens the trust relationship between teachers and students.

TDSB says just under 300 teachers to be cut next year, unions say it’s much higher

The unions representing elementary and secondary school teachers in Toronto said a total of 607 positions would be eliminated, but the school board says it’s much lower.
