SASKATOON – Much of southern Saskatchewan is now under a winter storm warning, which includes Saskatoon and area.
Environment Canada says a low pressure system moving into the province from Alberta on Wednesday is setting up a little further north than previously expected.
Snowfall amounts ranging from 10 to 15 centimetres are expected in the warned areas, with the highest amounts expected over central Saskatchewan and south of the Yellowhead corridor.
Gusty east to southeast 60 to 70 km/h winds will create poor visibility.
Freezing rain is also possible in the southwest corner later in the morning and into the afternoon.

Travel conditions are expected to deteriorate throughout the day as the storm system passes though and moves off to the east overnight.
