TORONTO – Residents of a Toronto apartment building say they’re angry more hasn’t been done to secure solar panels that are now in danger of falling from their roof.
A fire department crew was dispatched on Friday to the building (near Don Valley Parkway and Eglinton Avenue East) over fears the panels could fall.
Police soon blocked off an area deemed unsafe for pedestrians, saying they were concerned the wind could dislodge the panels.
A resident of the building expressed frustration about the situation, and a neighbour said he had called police about the panels a few days ago but not much was done to fix them.
An engineer and an inspector have been called in to assess the situation.
