REGINA – A City of Regina bus driver facing charges after a man was struck and killed by his bus last fall is back behind the wheel.
46-year-old Darcy Allen Kluge is facing one count of driving without due care and attention in connection with an incident last September.
80-year-old Louis Perentes died after being hit by a bus while crossing Rae Street at the intersection of Parliament Avenue.
A statement provided by the City of Regina confirms that Kluge is driving again, and that he was provided counselling and training, and that the city has confidence in all of its drivers.
Kluge was to appear in traffic court Wednesday morning – a lawyer appeared on his behalf and the case was adjourned until next month.
