LAWRENCE STATION, N.B. – The driver of a transport truck is dead following a single-vehicle crash near Lawrence Station, N.B.

Route 3, the main road between St. Stephen and Fredericton, was closed for several hours on Monday.

The northbound truck was towing a flatbed trailer when it failed to negotiate a turn and landed upside down.

RCMP evacuated nearby homes until they were able to determine the containers of chemicals the truck was carrying did not pose a threat.
