The bail hearing for a 16-year-old boy accused of killing a 19-year-old during a robbery in December continues, but no decision will be made today.
The suspect, who cannot be identified, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Karim Meskine. He was attacked and beaten on Dec. 17 near the New Westminster SkyTrain station and died in hospital three days later.
Karim’s family was in court last week for the start of the bail hearing for the youth.
They want the 16-year-old to be sentenced as a adult, but that is still to be decided.
So far the 16-year-old remains in jail.
