CALGARY – Police are looking for suspects after a home invasion in the northwest community of Collingwood on Sunday.
It happened at around 9:45 p.m. in the 900 block of Northmount Drive N.W.
Investigators say an officer was flagged down by one of the occupants of the home who managed to escape after suspects broke in.
The victim told officers one of the suspects had a shotgun.
Police responded and locked down the area, but the suspects were able to get away.
“They were able to make their escape before we were able to lock down the area,” explains Duty Staff Sgt. Paul Wozney. “They did leave a vehicle behind which is being used in the investigation.”
It’s believed they may have been picked up by friends.
