Mission RCMP taped off an area near Lougheed Highway and Stave Lake Street Monday night after the body of a man was found in the bush.
Mounties say there are no signs of foul play and the death appears to be the result of a drug overdose.
Someone found the body Monday afternoon and called the police. There was a makeshift shelter found near the body and police say it appears that the man had been camping at that location. There were no signs of trauma on the body.
An autopsy will be conducted to confirm the cause of death. The identity of the man is not being released until next of kin notification has been made.
