It was held at the SFU campus in Burnaby.
The 18 students, from as far away as Tanzania and China, were grateful to join in on the “Not Home For The Holidays” event.
“We try and be a family, a home away from home if you will,” says one of the organizers. “So we decided to do our traditional Canadian dinner, a little bit of a twist though because it’s a halal turkey, and we just thought all the fixings and invite as many people who felt like coming by, and yeah, we think it’s been pretty successful.”
