Vancouver Police say they have arrested two people in Yaletown this afternoon as part of an ongoing police investigation.

Sgt. Randy Fincham says at about 2:30 p.m. the Vancouver Police Emergency Response Team made the arrest at Mainland and Nelson.

Witnesses say they heard shots fired but Fincham says no guns were deployed, however, two flash bang distraction devices were used.

Fincham says due to the ongoing investigation, they will not be disclosing any more information at this time.

Aside from the arrests, police also seized a large amount of cash and towed away a black SUV.
