No charges anticipated in Elmsdale pedestrian-vehicle collision

HALIFAX – The victim in the latest pedestrian-vehicle collision remains in critical condition, according to Halifax RCMP.

Around 5 p.m. on Saturday, a pedestrian was hit in the 900 block of Highway 2 in Elmsdale.

A 61-year-old woman was taken to hospital.

Cpl. Scott McRae with Halifax RCMP said the woman still faces very serious injuries.

The 16-year-old driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was not injured.

McRae said RCMP do not anticipate laying charges against the teen, however the matter is still under investigation.

RCMP say the cause is also still under investigation.
