Cst. Pierre Bourdages with Halifax Regional Police says that there was a large crowd in the area, however, police are not getting any cooperation from the victim or witnesses.

“It’s very concerning. It’s of great concern that no one in the area would give us any information. It’s a very busy area of the city. There’s a lot of people so someone is bound to have seen something,” he said.

Bourdages adds that it is very difficult for police to solve the crime if the public does not step forward to help.

Police continue to investigate and are following other leads but Bourdages admits he hopes someone speaks out.

“We have other ways to get information…but it becomes very hard when nobody is talking to us.”
