Edmonton – A Sexsmith, Alberta man has been charged with second degree murder in the death of the mother of their children.
On Friday morning, RCMP responded to a call about an injured woman at a home in Sexsmith, which is 22 kilometers north of Grande Prairie. The 35-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the home.

Police believe the accused and victim were in a relationship. Their names are not being released to protect the identity of their children who are believed to have witnessed the incident.
The 33-year-old man is in custody and will make his next court appearance Wednesday morning.
An autopsy on the victim is scheduled Tuesday in Edmonton.
