No charges in investigation of Saskatchewan police misconduct at work

REGINA – Saskatchewan RCMP say an investigation into allegations of inappropriate workplace behaviour by members of a drug squad found nothing that would warrant criminal charges.

The allegations involved a unit made up of both RCMP and Regina city police officers.

The RCMP asked the Regina police to conduct the investigation, and on Thursday the Mounties said Regina police advised them there was “insufficient” evidence to lay criminal charges.

Mounties have said they won’t disclose what the allegations were.

RCMP conducted its own investigation and says it also found no evidence of wrongdoing by any serving members of the RCMP.
