Boston’s Emerson College renamed its school of communication after fictional newsman Ron Burgundy on Wednesday.
Actor Will Ferrell, in character as Burgundy, was on hand as college president Lee Pelton reiterated the school would be renamed after Burgundy for “one day and not a minute more.”

The star took questions from students and the media during the publicity stunt for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, which hits theatres this month.
A spokesperson said Emerson received no money for the appearance. The idea came from Ferrell’s publicist, an Emerson alumnus.
