Toronto Morning: What you need to know today

TORONTO – Parts of southern Ontario are under a freezing rain warning as a low pressure system moves it way across the region Wednesday morning.

Areas north of the Greater Toronto Area including Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Newmarket and northern York Region will be affected by the weather system.

Patchy freezing rain may last for several hours before temperatures rise above freezing later this morning southeast of Lake Huron, and this afternoon east of Georgian Bay.

Periods of rain ending early this morning then mainly cloudy. Risk of freezing rain over northern sections early this morning. High 7.
