Oliver bomber gets 90 days

Now he’s going to jail after pleading guilty to the two crimes.

In August in Oliver, Stephen Wesley Daoust, 19, fashioned a home-made bomb out of scrap metal and explosive powder extracted from bird bangers.

Daoust put the bomb under the car of a man who he had a long running feud with.

The blast damaged the vehicle and shrapnel struck nearby garages.

No one was hurt.

About a month later, Daoust opened the back door of the man’s residence and emptied most of a can of bear spray into the home.

He has been sentenced to three months in jail, two years probation and banned from possessing firearms for ten years.

Daoust’s older brother is accused of helping plant the bomb.

Eric Olivier Daoust has pleaded not guilty and makes another court appearance later this month.
