For 19 years, Tradeworks has been giving inner city women and at-risk youth the training and employment skills needed to find careers in the trades.
From their workshop on Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside they give hands-on work experience in carpentry.
This time of year – their projects include the making of intricate Christmas ornaments cut out of pine with a laser – then painstakingly assembled by hand.
