The Vancouver Asian Heritage Month Society (VAHMS) is pleased to announce its highly anticipated explorASIAN Festival 2023 from April 29 to May 31. Over 50 events presented in person and online throughout the month in various locations of Greater Vancouver. Artists have been invited to share their own productions, exhibitions, and presentations in a joint effort to further develop mainstream recognition of these incredible contributions of the pan-Asian Canadian communities.
This year, explorASIAN programming continues to highlight the great achievements and contributions of Canadians of Asian descent in arts and culture, including the artists of LiterASIAN Festival, Interconnected Spotlight Series, Dreamwalker and Dumb Instrument Dance, and many more. Kicking off with our Opening Ceremony on April 29, and culminating with visual artist Lam Wong’s exhibition at Van Dusen Gardens, VAHMS is continuing its role in presenting works that reflect pressing issues facing Asian Canadian communities in Metro-Vancouver and further.
