Fill The Truck For Kawartha Foodshare

From December 1 – 15^th, Central Smith is challenging local businesses, organizations, and schools to run their own drive / collect donations, and they will be driving their truck around Peterborough County picking up the donations on December 16 and delivering them to Kawartha Food Share.

To donate, drop off your donation to any of the participating businesses and organizations.  I have included an updated list of those who have signed up to participate (which is growing each day!).

Last year, they collected over 5,000 lbs. of food and nearly $10,000 in donations overflowing their truck!

According to the Peterborough Food Action Network, between 2017 and 2018, 14.5% of Peterborough residents lived with food insecurity. By filling our truck, we want to make the holidays easier for those in need.
