Five Counties Children’s Centre Backyard Summer Social is around the corner!
Five Counties Children’s Centre is excited to be hosting their 1st Annual Backyard Summer Social, June 25th from 1-4 pm in the backyard of their Peterborough location at 872 Dutton Road.
The afternoon event will be a “picnic for adults” theme with delicious local food from Taso’s and La Mesita, sweet treats from Central Smith and Flossophy, beverages from Rolling Grape, Bobcaygeon Brewery and Brock Street Brewery, live performances by Irish Millie and the Mayhemingways, and activities including old fashioned picnic games like bean bag toss, a hockey shootout, inflatable jousting and axe throwing with the Peterborough Axe Club.
Local Rotary Clubs from Haliburton, Northumberland, Peterborough, and City of Kawartha Lakes have joined together as the generous lead sponsor of this event.
“As someone who has lived in Peterborough my entire life, I have known firsthand families that have counted on Five Counties to provide therapy services for their children,” says Carl Brown, president of the Rotary Club of Peterborough Kawartha. “The services offered by Five Counties are life changing for the children of our community and surrounding area.”
“We look forward to sharing a wonderful afternoon with our guests,” says Scott Pepin, CEO, Five Counties Children’s Centre. “We are excited to welcome everyone in person and thank them for supporting our kids. Event proceeds will support our Building Abilities for Life campaign to raise funds to keep kids off waitlists and get them into the treatment they need for speech and language therapy.”
Tickets are on sale now for $125/pp. Tickets purchased before May 1 are automatically entered to win tickets to see Jann Arden perform live at the Peterborough Memorial Centre on May 22!
