Join us for an evening with two former Olympians. Hear from our featured guest speaker, Olympian Cindy Klassen. Cindy is Canada’s most decorated Olympian, winning 6 medals over 2 games. Since retiring from skating, Cindy has been an active member of the Calgary Police Force. Cindy will share what it takes to overcome obstacles as a world-class athlete and what it looks like for our clients to overcome obstacles as they work their way out of poverty. Opportunity International UK’s Patron, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, will also be providing special remarks. Princess Anne has been Opportunity’s patron for over two decades and has seen firsthand the work on the ground. The Princess Royal was the first member of the Royal Family to have competed in the Olympic Games when she rode The Queen’s horse, Goodwill, in the equestrian three-day event at the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games.
