#Soupfest2021 will look differently this year however it will be as tasty as ever. Participants will be offering their signature soup through-out the event. At this time our province is in lock down so soup will be available to order online or for pick up during participants hours of operation. It has never been more important to support local.
When: throughout Winterfest from January 29 – February 15, 2021
Where: At local participating restaurants from Hamilton and surrounding Cities.
Why: Soupfest is the major annual fundraiser for Living Rock Youth Centre, a local non-profit in Hamilton. Living Rock has been supporting vulnerable youth since 1985. The funds raised through Soupfest are directed to programs and resources offered to support youth in need. Living Rock offers a place of belonging, safety, and a bridge to the community while supporting youth to develop a personal vision for their lives.
This year has been incredibly difficult for the restaurant industry and we would like inspire our community to support local through offering Soupfest in a new way. Each participating restaurant will offer a signature competing soup during their hours of operation. A percentage of each soup will support Living Rock and the balance will support our local restaurants. Each restaurant decides what amount that they will donate and that amount can also be built into their price of the soup. Restaurants need our support too! Customers who purchase competing soup will be able to vote for their favourites online.
Living Rock is a 35-year-old outreach that offers youth-at-risk a place of belonging, safety, and a bridge to the community, while supporting youth to develop a personal vision for their lives.
