Saskatoon’s one and only Alma Flamenca has put their zapping energy into some serious vibe amplification this year.  Thanks to their collaboration projects with Odissi Classical Indian dance, the 21 year old music and dance group now has a new shared space they call Dance Den to hold classes and performances.  What better way to kick off this fresh new spring time energy then to share their LIVE music and dance in a big celebration performance called “ARTE SANO” (Wellness art).

These are over 30 flamenco and odissi dancers, LIVE flamenco guitar, LIVE cajon and palamas percussion, LIVE flamenco cante voice and mucho mucho more will energize, transcent and give you escalorfrios (shivers).

Artistic director of Alma Flamenca Kari Alba was born and raised in Saskatoon, and she has been devoted to cultivating the Andalusian music and dance art here in her home since she was sixteen years old.

Thanks to the help of their sweet little “off-grid thinker” Riversdale community (which includes Emily Carr and the amazing people at St. George’s Anglican Church), Sage Lee with Warrior Goddess/Odissi and Sheena Oliphant with Sohum/Odissi/Yoga this event is just $15…. opening up their doors to diversity, inclusion and high vibe souls is their constant mission!
