Faculty members Marie France Forcier and Melanie Kloetzel present an exciting split bill with new works as part of ProSeries II.
Returning to performance following a three-year hiatus, Marie France Forcier will be premiering two new solos by nationally celebrated and internationally recognized choreographers Linnea Swan and Brandy Leary.
The Faustian Chronicles: Part I, The Bargain by kloetzel&co. is a work performed by Melanie Kloetzel and Jocelyn Leiver. Examining the evolution of the character of Faust as related to larger structures of unchecked growth, the work marries Goethe’s timeless tale with Kloetzel’s investment in deconstructive characterization and political satire. The work is the first part of a larger project on Faust recently initiated by Kloetzel (with critical initial support from SCPA students in Mainstage 2018).
