November is Financial Literacy Month!
Financial Literacy Month is an opportunity for Canadians to participate in many of the financial literacy activities and events throughout our communities. Programs, services and tools are made available to help Canadians improve their knowledge, skills and confidence in making informed financial choices for themselves.
JA is the largest youth financial literacy educator in the country. JA supports the development of financial literacy knowledge and skills of our youth through the delivery of in-class programs by dedicated volunteers.
During the month of November, JA Southern Alberta will be delivering over 150 financial literacy program in Calgary and Airdrie Region schools. Our programs provide increased knowledge and awareness of personal financial literacy skills for students from grade 4 – 12.
As an organization, JA will strive to complete the following initiatives:
- Increase Financial Knowledge
- Develop Healthy Financial Habits
- Prevent and Protect against fraud and financial abuse
