SCREENAGERS: GROWING UP IN THE DIGITAL AGE
This one hour award-winning film probes into family life and depicts messy struggles over social media and video games with lack of attention to academics. Through poignant and funny stories, along with insights from authors, psychologists and brain scientists, SCREENAGERS reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and maintain a healthy life balance.
The film will be followed by our guest speaker Sian Phillips Ph.D.,C.Psych. (a local clinical psychologist). She will speak on “The impact of Technology on Mental Health”. A question and answer session will follow.
This event is the result of a collaboration between Parent Councils at Frontenac Secondary School and R.G. Sinclair Public School. This event has been funded by the Ministry of Education Parent Reaching Out Grant.
