Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre – Illuminight
Event EndedNew Event is Shining a Light on Cancer
HAMILTON, ON – March 27, 2018: Illuminight is a new fundraising event being organized by Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation to support cancer care in our region. The regional program housed at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre provides care for more than 200,000 patient visits a year and is in constant need of new clinical equipment and patient amenities.
The event will be held on October 26 at Earth to Table: The Farm, a beautiful property located minutes from the intersection of Highway #5 and #6 in Flamborough (250 Concession 4 West). This family-friendly event features a special walk along farmland trails, traditional bonfire, music, food and fun fall activities. Proceeds support the Cancer Program’s highest priority needs.
“Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre provides care for all cancers and is the only place in the region where patients can be treated for conditions such as gynecological, hepatobiliary and complex hematological cancers,” says Pearl Veenema, President and CEO, Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation. “Illuminight is raising awareness and much-needed funds for the Cancer Program, which serves patients across south-central Ontario.”
