HAMILTON, ON – The City of Hamilton, in partnership with the CHML/Y108/95.3 Fresh Radio Christmas Tree of Hope and the Downtown Hamilton Business Improvement Area, will light up Gore Park for the holidays on Friday, Dec. 1 with music and entertainment from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Join the Mayor and special guests as they flip the switch to turn on the holiday lights at 6 p.m. The public is encouraged to support the spirit of the season by dropping off unwrapped toys or cash donations to Gore Park on Friday, Dec. 1 between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. for the CHML/Y108/95.3 Fresh Radio Children’s Fund.

The official lighting of the Christmas Tree of Hope is part of a great lineup of ‘Celebrate in the City’ programming this season including:

Christmas Tree of Hope Lighting and Concert, Gore Park

Friday, Dec. 1, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Enjoy live music, Santa selfies, free miniature train rides and the official ‘lighting’ at 6:00 p.m.

Downtown Hamilton BIA Presents: The Christmas Market, Gore Park

Friday, Dec. 1, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 2 and Sunday, Dec. 3, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Get a jumpstart on your Christmas shopping with unique gift items displayed by local vendors.

Free Miniature Train, Gore Park

Friday, Dec. 1 to Sunday, Dec. 17, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Hop onboard the Gore Park train and experience the holiday decorations from a front row seat.
