Oktoberfest 2017

Come celebrate an authentic German Oktoberfest on Friday October 20 2017 at the Laurel Packing House! Enjoy an authentic Oktoberfest meal of breaded schnitzel and gravy, Kranjska Kobasa (house-made), roasted Sauerkraut, German potato salad, and roasted red cabbage, finished with European fine pastries, and Black Forest Cake, catered by Kelowna European Caterers. Quench your thirst with Bavarian beer provided by Sleeman’s Brewery! During dinner enjoy the music and entertainment of oom pa pa band, The Harmony Duet, and then dance the night away to the Blue Collar Band! Fun continues all night with prizes for best costume – dress in your best drindl or lederhosen – and have your photo taken by our professional photographer! Be sure to bring your pocketbook to place bids during the auction on unique and fun items, such as a 2-night stay at Montana Hill Resort, cooking classes with Start Fresh, Orah Spa gift certificate, Craft Brew Crawl, 3-month membership to The Women’s Place, artisan work from Canada and Haiti, with more items added each week! Doors open at 5:00pm, dinner served from 6:00-7:30pm. Proceeds of the night’s event go to Haiti in My Heart, a registered Canadian charity supporting children’s education in Haiti.
