The Summerland Arts Centre will be hosting a film called “Out of the Interior, Survival of the small-town cinema in British Columbia. It’s a documentary by Curtis and Silmara Emde and delves into the history of public film exhibition in BC. It’s a full-length exploration of classic movie theatre in BC’s Southern Interior, from Vernon’s Towne Cinema to Creston’s Tivioli and Grand Forks’ GEM to Revelstoke’s Roxy and every stop along the way. The film-makers will be on hand to answer questions.
Admission is free, but we’ll have popcorn and drinks available by donation.
