Celebrate World Rivers Day with the Lower Mainland Green Team, Byrne Creek Streamkeepers and City of Burnaby! Want to meet people, try new things, spend time in nature and make a difference? Come rescue baby maple trees by removing invasive English ivy & Himalayan blackberry at Ron McLean Park in Burnaby! Learn about invasive plants impacting local parks, ways you can care for our waterways and take action to improve the health of this natural area. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED. All ages, abilities & experience levels are welcome – bring your family, friends, coworkers and classmates! Gloves, tools, educational instruction and snacks provided.
