He grew up in Rocanville, Sask., and has a journalism degree from the University of Regina School of Journalism.
He has been a member of the Global sports team since 2012, covering the CFL, WHL and USports scene, along with any other local sport happening around Saskatchewan. Some career highlights include covering the 2013 Grey Cup, the Dakota Dunes Open and both the 2013 and 2018 Memorial Cups.
Taylor has been playing hockey for more than 20 years. He also officiated elite hockey while in university and is still involved to this day, mostly reffing Senior leagues around Saskatchewan.
