Supriya Dwivedi is fluently trilingual in English, French and Hindi, so that means she can give you her (unsolicited) opinion in all three languages. Supriya graduated with a Bachelor of Science from McGill University, and upon completion she was accepted into both medical and law school. Much to the chagrin of her grandmother, Supriya opted to pursue the legal route at the Université de Montréal so she could finally use her argumentative powers for good.
During law school, Supriya started writing political opinion pieces for the Montreal Gazette and the Globe and Mail, while hosting her own show on CJAD 800. Once equipped with both an LL.B. and a J.D., Supriya moved to Toronto and went on to work in the dark arts of government relations and strategic communications.
A natural and effective communicator, Supriya made a name for herself as a national commentator. Supriya was the host of the popular political podcast Canadaland Commons, a syndicated columnist with Sun Media, and appeared regularly on The National, Power & Politics, and The Agenda. Additionally, Supriya’s political insight has been sought out by a myriad of outlets, including: CNN, Le Monde, and Al Jazeera, among others.
When she’s not trying to win arguments on the Internet, Supriya is happily enjoying life with her husband Anoop, and her dog Cody.
The Morning Show with Mike Stafford & Supriya Dwivedi airs weekdays on 640 Toronto from 5:30 – 9 a.m.
