Meaghan Roy

Sports Anchor

Meaghan Roy began her broadcasting career at CHEX TV in 2007.

She started as a part-time news reporter, and transitioned into sports in 2010, becoming the first female sports anchor at CHEX in 2014.

Some of her favourite stories have been covering the Peterborough Petes road to the 2023 OHL Championship and the 4-straight Mann Cup Championships the Lakers pulled off. With Peterborough being so rich in sports culture, Meaghan enjoys covering any and all sports.

Born and raised in a big Irish family in Peterborough, Meaghan attended York University for History and followed this with a broadcast journalism degree from Loyalist College.

When not working, Meaghan enjoys spending time with her daughters Lyla and Rosa.
