Kelly Hayes started as a video journalist/web producer at Global Okanagan in September 2012 and has more than 30 years experience in broadcasting.
Hayes is a pioneer of sorts, being the first web journalist to introduce Internet news video to the Okanagan.
Born in Quebec and fluent in french, Hayes is a world traveler with a passion for covering international conflicts including Afghanistan and Egypt and Libya.
Prior to broadcasting, Hayes was a commercial hot-air balloon pilot and is a former Regional Director for Central Okanagan East.
His hobbies include dirt biking, snowmobiling and horseback riding.
