Joshua Gwozdz
Digital Broadcast Journalist
Joshua Gwozdz is a Digital Broadcast Journalist with Global News Saskatoon.
Joshua began his media career working in radio, spending time with Black Gold Broadcasting and Pattison Media in Edmonton prior to his graduation from NAIT Polytechnic. During his time at NAIT, Joshua was the recipient of the Rick Lee Scholarship, awarded for best marketing plan to draw talent to work in radio as a career. He was also the recipient of the Ernie Poscente Memorial Scholarship, awarded by class vote by his classmates based on his work ethic, dedication, skill and support of his classmates. Rounding out his scholastic accolades was the Jason Lang Scholarship, given to those who eclipsed a grade average benchmark, which he received in each of the four semesters of his program.
After graduation, he worked as a creative content specialist, marketing manager, and sales lead for a software company in Sherwood Park. Joshua spent two years in that position before making the move to Saskatoon, where he re-entered the broadcasting industry as a Digital Broadcast Journalist at Global News Saskatoon.
When Joshua isn’t busy reporting, he enjoys a variety of hobbies, including creating content for social media, where he has garnered viral success, reading sci-fi books or watching sci-fi films, video gaming, visiting local breweries, spending time with loved ones, and listening to music from the ’60s through ’90s.
