Danielle Savoni

Danielle Savoni is a casual member of the Global Calgary Weather team.

Danielle started presenting local weather at CTV Northern Ontario in 2006, then went to the Weather Network where she delivered national weather. In 2009, Danielle moved to Calgary and was the 6 and 11 p.m. meteorologist at CBC Calgary. She fell in love with Calgary and since then, has never left.

Danielle enjoys the weather in southern Alberta because there never seems to be a dull moment, saying: “There is always something exciting in the Alberta sky – from chinooks to sun dogs, hail and tornadoes and even thundersnow. The mountains make things really interesting.”

Danielle holds business and psychology degrees from the University of Western Ontario, a journalism diploma from Humber College and a meteorology certificate from Mississippi State University.

When she is not at work, Danielle is trying to keep up with her husband and two kids outside – swimming, skating, biking, baseball or some other outdoor adventure her little ones come up with.
