Turnover is high and response times can be long.
But imagine contacting 9-1-1 and waiting for more than one hour for a police officer to arrive.
As Global’s Shelby Thom reports, one Similkameen town says the situation has become “unacceptable.”
It’s asking the provincial government and RCMP to get more boots on the ground.
