Fort McMurray Wildfire: Syrian Refugees help fire evacuees
Description
May 5, 2016
Thu, May 5: This is a really special kind of paying it forward. The very people who received a hamper when they arrived are now the ones filling new ones for fire evacuees. Rita Khanchat and her family are creating hampers -- filled with personal hygiene products. She knows how critical these things are...because she received one herself when she arrived 5 months ago from generous Albertans. "99 hampers of hope" has organized a drop off at two locations this Saturday. All the information is on their Facebook page. Jill Croteau has more. NOTE: To find a list of items needed for hampers for fire evacuees, use this link: https://www.facebook.com/99-Hampers-of-Hope-YMM-536288149872213/
