Sgt. Paul Gauthier is charged with insubordination and neglect of duty related to his handling of a complaint by a man who alleged McArthur tried to strangle him.

According to Toronto police tribunal documents, Det. Paul Gauthier is scheduled to appear at police headquarters for a hearing Tuesday morning.

Two Toronto police officers who were recorded on a dash camera video mocking a woman with Down syndrome are facing a police tribunal hearing next month. News of the hearing comes on the same day that the officers wrote a letter to the woman and her family to apologize for “inexcusable remarks.”
