Los Angeles’ newest tourist attraction got off to a flying start on Saturday as 2,200 people lined up to ride down the Skyslide on opening day.

The latest Los Angeles thrill ride has arrived - a glass slide that will jut from a skyscraper 1,000 feet above the ground.

Thrill-seekers looking to take their fear of heights to a new level can come to downtown Los Angeles this summer and careen down a clear glass slide atop the tallest building west of the Mississippi.
