An Alberta initiative that aims to ensure the province's drinking establishments are safe and welcoming to patrons named its top 10 Edmonton bars Tuesday night.

Best Bar None is an accreditation program for bars. It started in 2010 and is a partnership between the AGLC, the City of Edmonton and the Edmonton Police Service.

The Druid Irish Pub, Schanks Sports Grill, Sherlock Holmes Pub and O'Byrne's Irish Pub are just a handful of the Edmonton establishments that have been awarded for their commitment to service and safety.
