Opponents of Alberta's law allowing gay-straight alliances in schools have been dealt another legal setback.

The Alberta government is investigating employment agreements signed by Catholic school teachers amid concerns they could be fired for being in gay or common-law relationships.

Alberta Education Minister David Eggen released guidelines Wednesday morning in developing policies the government said will help create welcoming environments for all students, staff and families.
