Ken Goff Memorial Boxing Classic

The Ken Goff Memorial Boxing Classic (KGMBC), presented by Brandt Group of Companies is a Las Vegas style boxing card with eight bouts of Olympic style boxing, hosted by the Regina Boxing Club. Team Canada’s elite men’s boxing team will step into the boxing ring against Team Cuba for the first time in KGMBCs twenty-four year history. Team Cuba ranks first in four mens weight divisions internationally and won six medals in mens boxing at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics. Founded in 1994, the KGMBC is a major fundraiser and a tribute to the founder of the Regina Boxing Club, Ken Goff. Full details 

Swing into Spring with Rosie & the Riveters

Living Heritage: Sharing the Land

The 2017 Living Heritage event will focus on sharing the land, with the sharing of stories through the eyes of those who are new to Canada and those who are not. How do we all balance cultural continuity with change and integration? How can the perspective of the newcomer shed light on the injustices faced by Indigenous peoples? Through performance, interactive exercises and presentations, we will explore how the land can be shared. This event will showcase: • An address linking themes from the 2016 Living Heritage event to today’; • Keynote presentation by Zarqa Nawaz, Creator of Little Mosque on the Prairie and author, Laughing All the Way to the Mosque; • Panel of international students who will reflect on their experieince in Canada; • Celebration of cultural performance from Karibu and Terrance Littletent. Regina Kidney Walk

Year after year, thousands of people take part in Kidney Walks across the country. Patients on dialysis, organ transplant recipients, families, friends, donors, medical community members, and the public come together to raise awareness about the importance of kidney health and organ donation. The Kidney Walk is a fundraiser in which participants collect pledges to participate in an optional 5 K or 10 K Run or 2 K Walk. This family oriented event is geared towards people of all ages and all trails are wheelchair accessible. Sign up as an individual or form a team (no team member limits!) with friends, family, or coworkers. Gather pledges to raise funds and awareness about the importance of organ donation, patient services, and research.
